Error 403: access forbidden for phpmyadmin
Many times PhpMyadmin works fine on localhost but accessing it over a network gives error 403: Access Forbidden. It is because phpmyadmin is not configured to be accessed over a network. Permission to access it over network is not given.
By default phpmyadmin installed path is /usr/share/phpmyadmin and the apache configuration file is located in /etc/httpd/conf.d/phpmyadmin.conf. Locate the file phpmyadmin.conf
vi /etc/httpd/conf.d/phpmyadmin.conf
Once found, open this file. Contents of the file will be like the following from there remove or comment the first two lines.
#Order Allow,Deny
#Deny from all
Allow from 127.0.0.1
Then Restart the apache server.
service httpd restart
Once this is done, you should be able to see phpmyadmin working by pointing your browser.
