In the last blog, we were talking about Email Default Address in which we have learned about how to set up an email address that receives emails that are sent to an invalid email address for your domain. Now, in today’s Blog, we are going to discuss Email Mailing Lists option.
For accessing this option : Go to cPanel ==> Email ==> Mailing List
Email Mailing List:
Using this option you will be able to send emails to multiple email addresses using a single email address. If you want to send Newsletters or some another update to a group of people then you can use this option. You can also use this option for creating, modifying and deleting the mailing list. You can specify the email addresses in a list if you want to you can write welcome messages for new customers.
For providing this functionality cPanel uses Mailman list manager.

For creating a new Mailing list follow the below steps:
This lists mailing lists on your account. If you want to search any mailing list then search it using “Search” text box as shown below:
Let’s discuss each of these columns in detail:
List Name: – It will display Mailing Lists Full email address.
Usage: – It will display the amount of disk space used by each mailing list.
Access: – It will display the Access type for each Mailing List i.e. Public or Private.
Admin: – Email addresses of the mailing list administrators.
Functions:- Administrative functions like Delete, Change Password, Manage and Delegation.
Let’s discuss all these functions in detail:
Note: – When you want to delete a mailing list, then all the archives, current e-mail, and member e-mail addresses are also deleted. Therefore, if you want to retain any of this information, make sure that you download or copy these files before you delete a mailing list. Because once you delete a mailing list, the information is unrecoverable.
Let’s describe this screen:
Select the Mailing List which you want to manage, from the Current Lists table. Then select the Manage button next to that mailing list. You will see a new interface for managing the mailing list. Here you can do the changes and submit them by selecting “Submit your changes” button at the bottom.
For managing the delegation settings on a mailing list, select the required mailing list from the list and click the appropriate delegation link.
