Know How To Set Email Track Delivery in cPanel

If you have problems related to email delivery then using Track Delivery tool in cPanel you will be able to track the email’s delivery route.

As discussed above, the topic of today’s blog is how to set up an “Email Track Delivery” in cPanel. In the previous blog, we have discussed how to set up a Mailing List in cPanel which is a useful option, using it you will be able to send emails to multiple email addresses using a single email address. If you want to send Newsletters or some another update to a group of people then you can use this option.

So let’s start discussing Track Delivery tool.

For accessing Track Delivery tool, the first log into your cPanel, navigate to the Email section and click on Track Delivery. You will see the following screen:

It will show reports about email message delivery attempts from your account.

Here you can see an option:

 Recipient Email (optional):- In this text box enter the recipient email address and click “Run Report”.

You will see two buttons: 1. Show All and 2. Show Blocked and Failed

  1. Show All:- If you select this option then it will refresh the results in the reports table as shown below:

  1. Show Blocked & Failed:– If you want to show only the failed delivery then select this option. as there are no failed reports you won’t see anything in the table.

Let’s discuss each of these columns in detail :

Event: It is represented by an icon which will indicate the message’s delivery status.

From address: It is the email address on your system that sent the message.

Sent Time: It is the Date and Time when the user sent the message.

Spam Score: It will display the message’s Apache Spam assassin score.

Recipient: It is the email address to which the user sent the message.

Result: It describes the delivery result.

Actions: Click the icon () to view and print information about the selected message. This information includes Delivery Even Details such as a message’s sender, recipient, and username etc. as shown below:

You can filter the records by selecting any or all of the following checkboxes:

  • Show Successes
  • Show Deferred
  • Show Failures
  • Show in-progress

You can select maximum Results/Type by selecting the maximum number from the drop-down list.

Table Options: For selecting the columns that you wish to display or hide in the Delivery Report table, click the table options icon (). A new window will appear. i.e. using this option you can Select the columns you wish to display in the table as shown below:

  • To display the column, select the checkbox.
  • To hide the column, deselect the checkbox.

Reset to Default: This will reset the table option to the default setting.
