In the previous blog, we discussed how to set up Boxtrappers feature in cPanel. In today’s blog, we will be discussing How to set up “Calendars and Contacts in cPanel”.
Calendars and Contacts :
This feature is useful when you want to access Calendars and Contacts on your devices. For that, you are required to configure your client to connect to CalDAV for Calendars and Card DAV for contacts.
For configuring these settings :
Log into your cPanel >> Navigate to Email >> Calendars and Contacts >>
You will see the following Interface :
Manual Settings :
All the configurations in these settings use Autodiscovery and support most modern CalDAV and CardDAV, clients. Using this, you can access your calendars, you can add CalDAV server configuration to your calendar client with one of the following configurations.
For accessing your contacts add a CardDAV server configuration to your contacts client with one of the following configurations. You must configure the server separately from the username. If your client does not have the server field within its configuration, you may need to select either Manual or Advanced settings.
Secure SSL/TLS Settings:
- Username: Your Username
- Password: Enter the same password that you use for your email login.
- Server URL: Enter the server URL
- Alternate Server URL: Enter alternate server URL
Non-SSL/TLS Settings:
- Username: Your Username
- Password: Enter the same password that you use for your email login.
- Server URL: Enter the server URL.
- Alternate Server URL: Enter alternate server URL
Direct URLs for Calendars and Contacts:-
Some applications cannot retrieve the list of calendars and address books from the CalDAV and CardDAV server. For those applications, you must individually specify the URL for each calendar or address book. You can find the URLs listed below:
Secure SSL/TLS URL’s:-
In the above table, you can find all the Secure SSL / TLS URLs for Calendar, Address Book, and Shared Address Book.
- Calendar: This URL is for your personal calendar.
- Address Book: This URL is for your personal address book.
- Shared Address Book: All the webmail users under this cPanel account can view shared address books using this URL.
Non-SSL/TLS URL’s:-
In this table, you will see all the non-SSL/TLS URLs for Calendar, Address Book, and Shared Address Book.
- Calendar: – This URL is for your personal Calendar.
- Address Book: – This URL is for your personal Address Book.
- Shared Address Book: – Using this URL all the webmail users under this cPanel account can view shared address books.
