How to install Ioncube loader on the cPanel server

There are 2 ways to install Ioncube on the server i.e. By logging into a WHM or by logging into CLI mode i.e. SSH access.

1) Via WHM

To install this, you need to log into the server using root password.

Log into the WHM by going to your servers IP followed by /whm or :2087 (ex: http://192.168.1.1:2087/)
On the left hand side click the ‘Tweak Settings’ link
Click the PHP tab on the right hand side
Find the configurable option labeled ‘cPanel PHP loader’ and check the ioncube checkbox

2) Via SSH

For this you need to SSH your server using SSH Terminal or any other third party application such as Putty or SSH client.

After login to the server as root user, you can run the below command to install IonCube Loaders without having to recompile Apache:

/scripts/phpextensionmgr install IonCubeLoader
