In this blog, we are going to learn how to create a WHM account. This will help secure your server from hackers who try to guess your root password. So how will you log in to this root? Well! They only use what we call wheel users which are allowed to promote itself to root in a shell. We will also set your server that requires Secure Connections to the cPanel and WHM interface.
Follow the below steps:
Step 1 – Let’s go ahead and log in to WHM.
Step 2 – Here we are in the WHM interface.
Step 3 – First we will create a user that we can use as a wheel user. Scroll down to “Account Functions” and click “create a new account” Create WHM account.
Step 4 – A create a new account will appear. We are going into this interface in more detail in another blog. I will create a user wheel user. com and a dummy domain wheel user. com. Then I will enter a password and confirm that password. The strength bar indicates the relative strength of the password to have a system to generate a secure password for you. Click “Generate Password”. Then enter an email address.
Step 5 – Then leave the rest alone. Scroll down and click “Create”. The system will create the account. A confirmation message will appear.
Conclusion: You have successfully created a new account.
