How to Change the cPanel Password ?

Users are can easily change the password of their hosting cPanel with the help of Change Password available under the cpanel. Kindly use the below steps for doing it:

1. Login into the cpanel of your hosting account

2. Click on the Change Password option available under the Preferences section of your cpanel

3. Fill the old password along with the new password under the Change your password now section and click on the button and password will be changed to new password

Protect your password:

  • Memorize your password, do not write it down
  • Do not share your password. Create a new account instead
  • Avoid using one password for all your logins
  • Don’t provide your password to someone for assistance unless you verify:
    • They need the password
    • They are who they say they are
  • Avoid logging in from public computers
  • Change your password frequently

Tips for choosing a password:

  • Avoid dictionary words
  • Avoid familiar items (names, phone numbers, etc.)
  • Use a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters
  • Use more characters (7+)
