Buagent could not be started on the server

Problem :  This error occurs on the server that are running R1Soft CDP version 2.0

Error:

# /etc/init.d/buagent start
/etc/init.d/buagent start: buagent could not be started

Solution : Problem occurs when Kernal version is upgraded, to resolve this issue you also need to update Buagent. Here are the simple steps :

root@server [/] r1soft-cki

root@server [/] service buagent restart

After buagent is started successfully you should be able to perform normal Backup/Restore operations from R1soft Admin Interface.
